PET Bottles

PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a strong material of light weigh made of clear polyester. It is used to manufacture soft-beverages, juices, alcoholic beverages, edible oils, household cleaners and other packages. Another advantage of this material is its physical properties, which allow great freedom of packaging design.

Natural or Transparent PET

The polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is used for carbonated drinks and bottles of water. PET provides very good barrier properties for alcohol and essential oils, usually a good chemical resistance -although acetones and ketones attack PET- and a high resistance against impact degradation and tensile strength.

The orientation process improves the barrier properties against gases and humidity and resistance to impact.

This material does not provide resistance to high temperatures – max. temp. 160 ºF (71.1 ºC).
